All the love that Bobby Richardson is getting and he only hits lefties, his card will not be as good as Neal. Dodgers do have enough 2b men, so do the Yanks, but Richardson has a very well known name, Neal, not so much. I wish I could pump up the numbers for him!

Just wondering Steve,

Have you ever heard of John McGraw?

I can post several other players who are EXCELLENT lead off hitters.

This Cobb is slightly better, not drastically different than his other cards.

Play a few theme leagues. I can list several teams that are lacking quality players to compete.
One of the last things we need is another Cobb card that adds nothing new.

Sorry to burst your bubble and I'm not trying to be a wise ass. Just being honest. There are SEVERAL EXCELLENT lead off hitters in the set.

Yes, but McGraw is not a *20-16 stealer. The better OBP (.486) of the 1915 Cobb, combined with the steal rating ; should result in all stolen base records being broken!

You do realize pitcher holds and catcher arms play a part in steals?

Sorry, but we don't need another Cobb card.

None other than RiggoDrill said it would be the best leadoff card in the set. I think I'll listen to the guy with 570 teams and a .551 lifetime winning pct ,thanks.

I see nothing wrong with another Cobb. Only one team can have McGraw. This Cobb gets on base and doesn't have a bad injury rating. I think it is needed.

We added more Bonds, Ruth, Mantle, and Williams cards even though we already had good cards of each that were being used.

Raines getting another card is the one that is ridiculous.

Johnny Lindell is starting to gather support. Let me put in a word for him. This card WILL get used at lower caps. No doubt about that. Here's are his full stats:
1948 Johnny Lindell, NYY, Bats-R, 3L Balance, LF-2(+1)e2, RF-3(+1)e2, 15 Game INJ Risk, 2 INJ Rating
LH--9.9 2b, 0 3b, 8.2 HR, 20 BB 466/565/859, 1.424 OPS
RH--3 2b, 1.5 3b, 6.6 HR, 2 BB 351/363/595, .958 OPS

In Veterans, that 466/565/859 slash line vs LHP (1.424 OPS) is extremely strong (somewhat superior to the popular Mark Brouhard's). It's also better than the popular new Mariano Duncan card at 2B. Lindell's fielding is much superior to Brouhard's rf/lf 4(e6), and his hitting vs RHP is much better than Brouhard's. Lindell's injury risk will keep the price down--but inj risk matters less with lefty killers for reasons that are obvious if you think about them.

So let's have Johnny Lindell. I nominated Mariano Duncan on the same grounds as Lindell, and I now have a lot of trouble getting him in a draft because other managers see his value. I anticipate that Lindell will be moderately priced and am confident that he will be a perennial favorite at caps between 60 and 100M.

More data in favor of Lindell as a bit of a platoon monster vs LHP:
Lindell's OPS vs LHP is so good that it's significantly superior in Veterans to all but one of the current OF nominees. These nominees include, among others, Mike Trout, Ty Cobb, Juan Gonzalez, Vlad Guerrero, George Hendrick, Brian Jordan, Magglio Ordonez, and Tim Raines.

Among the cards of current nominees, the only OF whose OPS vs LHP tops Lindell is Ted Williams, 1948. If it takes Ted Williams to beat you vs LHP, your card vs lefty pitchers is seriously good. After a further review of the facts, I think we need to conclude that this is an outstanding platoon card.
