Is the FA draft in reverse order of team draft order? If so are the rounds 12-1, 12-1 or 12-1, 1-12. I would think the first option is fairer as the people who chose a franchise first got a team full of players and the FA draft is but one player at a time. Also in the second option the last person to pick a franchise would get first choice of one player and then the last FA selection which hardly makes up for getting the last pick of franchises. Just my 2¢.

You don't have to repick because of only 13 Cubs hitters. Remember there are FA picks coming up. However the Commish offered you the option to drop the Cubs if you wanted to since some players you thought were Cubs actually belong to other teams. If that is the reason you want to drop the Cubs then OK but you can get around the fact that there are only 13 Cub hitters.

While this is certainly true in a no cap league, and I've been in some that were non serpentine for the free agent portion, I would argue that the 75mil cap makes the usual advantage of picking first non existent. My 25 protected players add up to about 71.7 I'm pretty sure everyone will easily be able to field a team around that number. In fact I was hoping to get 12th pick for that reason just to get first crack at the free agents. Maybe my thinking is wrong here but I would trade 12th pick for 1st in the free agent draft even if it's 12-1, 1-12

Another question: I was under the impression that we had to build a 25 man roster from our team based upon Strat's required roster construction: 11 pitchers ( 5 SP, 4 RP only and 1 Closer) 14 hitters (2 C). If this is not true and we can have 25 players from our roster with no other requirement than they played for our team, that changes things.

I also agree that no team has an advantage due to the 75mil cap. Everyone has to cut some of the best players on the roster to get under 75 mil so we are all on equal ground. I think the FA draft should also be randomized and serpentine.

I think getting an early FA pick is a huge deal and should be available to those who get the last franchise picks. If I randomly got #2 franchise pick and anything better than #11 FA pick, it would be a big advantage at the Strat-O-Matic roulette wheel.
