installing and running the Windows Game

Can it be installed and run from a USB or other interface external drive?

The SOM FAQs are old and still reference early versions, and now with the digital download it seems logical it could, but I am not sure. I have a small hard drive with my windows 10 laptop and would like to run it without having all the data on the internal drive.

Yes I am a Mac person for the last twenty years and only use windows to interface with my Control4 Smart Home system. My 2010 MacPro and Macbook Pro will not run BootCamp--but they run like champs so not ready to ditch the decade old powerhouses.

I did it once. It worked, but it was too slow for my liking , so I went back to a direct install.
