ATG9: Wrong Defense and other ratings

Way back in ancient history when TSN still ran online Strat-o-Matic, it was harder to get card data from SOM HQ. so Bernie "stole" some cards from the Mystery Card games. Those games have average fielding ratings that are applied across all years, so cards added from the mystery card games may not have accurate ratings. Although that happened 10-15 years ago, the cards still have not been corrected. Two examples below:

1970 Willie McCovey
Carded in ATG8: 1b-4e18 | 4,5/12 (11-4) | D/D/1-8
Corrected Ratings: 1b-2e17 | -/- (---) | D/C/1-10

1972 Dick Allen
Carded in ATG8: 1b-4e15 | *4-6/10 (15-8) | D/D/1-15
Corrected Ratings: 1b-3e8 | *6,7/- (16-12) | D/D/1-15

'70 McCovey and '72 Allen are two awesome hitting cards. Would be nice to see those two with upgraded defense!

I know there are more like this. Can we get a crowd-sourcing effort to identify cards that should be updated for the online game and make those changes in ATG9?

I have always been amazed at how secretive SOM is about their card data. If it were me, I would sell the complete book of card ratings data for about $10 - I think people would page through it and buy seasons they never would have considered just to get a crazy good card for one or two guys.

I would suggest that NOW is the time to point out any errors in the data that needs to be corrected. Send it on to John. I believe he will be interested in getting things right.

Joe, rburgh, or anyone else, appreciate the thoughts, but can you identify cards that need to be updated? ...I can't be the only one who noticed this?
