Tour Finals: Draft Order & Chat

Crossing my fingers that KLX is MIA for at least a week. I consider my first pick in this draft to have more meaning and relevance in the world than voting for a Trump or Hillary did last election.

Just saw we were ready to go and pick is made. Now that the draft is started, can we not name available players and put them in the head of someone who was not going to pick them?

Stings that Jeep beat me out for second place. I knew as soon as the Semis playoffs started that Jeep was taking Nola if he finished ahead of me. Unfortunately that happened. I've now gone for Nola 3 times this tour, and missed on him each time. I got "stuck" with deGrom. Nola is significantly better, but at least deGrom is a 3R with 7 endurance. That makes things less painful. And, JD Martinez is in my division, so at least one more righty for deGrom to face!

What are the pickup rules after the draft?

Waiver period? Free for all?

I don't see anything in the rules.

In the past tour finals drafts, waivers have always been the standard waivers (2 day waiting period). I hate it that way (love the free for all) but I am pretty sure it won't be a free-for-all.

Polling the participants:

The eight round draft is mercifully half way over. Assuming we’re done on Wednesday or Thursday, are we shooting to load and go this weekend, or does everyone prefer the load Saturday* and wait another week scenario?

Personally I’m ready to go sooner rather than later, but at this point I’ve embraced the suck and would be willing to wait.

* Note. Every time we wait a week, what happens is everyone is done making moves within 48 hours, then you just sit painfully for six more days. While the idea of having more time seems preferred, it doesn’t really equate with actually using more time. End rant.

I will be ready to go this week.

I strongly vote for "load Saturday". This is the finals, I'd personally prefer not to be rushed with a 1-2 day waivers. Also, at this pace, Round 8 is scheduled to finish Friday anyway.

I'd prefer to load this week if the draft is complete.
