League/Challenge issue

Alright--so tell me how this team wins 113 games and possibly the monthly challenge and a title... in a league where all others have not spent or have thrown away 15-38% of their salary in a 100M league, ie 15M-38M unspent or lost due to cap hits.

What is going on SOM? Integrity of competition? Salary dumping doesn't violate the terms of service anymore? They were doing a better job cracking down on this stuff, so this is a great disappointment unless I am missing something.

I think the league restrictions made it impossible for many teams to field a roster worth $100M: "All pitchers must have an ERA of 4.00 or greater. All position players must be rated 4 or higher (excluding pitchers). Reserves must also be 4s." Roster value + cash is over $97M for all teams, so salary dumping is not an issue. I don't care one way or the other if the league is excluded from the monthly challenge, but I think this is all about roster restrictions, not cheating or collusion.

The one team that won both the league and the competition is the ONLY one with a 100M salary. What a coincidence.

And by the way--salary dumping--even by proxy--violates the terms of service IMO.

That is the same league I emailed them about. It's crazy to allow a team like that in a monthly contest for pinch hitting when every pitcher in the league sucks ass.

Look at the team, every single player with over 199 AB's hit at least .320. With I believe 5 players over .400. Has anyone ever seen that in a league before? I doubt it.

I didn't even notice the fielder rating restriction or how bad everyone else was compared that that team. Nor did I look at the Cap of each team. Either he's the smartest AND luckiest manager in ATG history or there's something fishy going on there. Either way I don't think that team should have qualified for such a contest.

And yes, in full disclosure I messaged Strat because I will end up finishing 2nd in that contest. I thought my team was well suited to win the competition yet that team was so far ahead of mine and everyone else's, that it made me look at the team to try to figure out how it could have possibly been so much better than mine and everyone else's.

In that contest, out of the likely HUNDREDS of teams that launched in November, there were only 8 teams total that finished (or will finish) with 100 or more Pinch Hits. This team is #1 with 173. I'm projected to finish #2 with 141 (18.5% less). The #3 team finished with 120 (31% less).

Put another way, the 2nd - 21st teams averaged 100.55 pinch hits per team. The team in question had 73% more pinch hits than the average of the next 20 teams in the contest ..........

We need one of you stat gurus to figure out how far out of whack that is.

Yeah, I'll still get two freebies out of it.

But if you're gonna continue to run the monthly contests then leagues with bullshit restrictions should be excluded otherwise it just taints the entire contest.

C'mon. Clearly there's something going on here.

There are lots of of coaches in that league whose names I recognize and can't believe for a minute they were involved in collusion of any sort, but that are also several horrific teams as well. Really strange.
