I'm puzzled over Kevin Kiermaier's HIT's and OBP against LHPs. Kiermaier hit .311 vs LHPs with an OBP at .341. Yet his card will have 26.9 HITs and 28.9 OBP vs LHPs on his 2019 player card. Does that seem really low to anyone else? Both numbers.
Apparently Mike Ford got hosed as well. SOM has him with ONLY 49.3 TB's vs. LHP. He slugged 1.000 with 7 HRs in 33 ABs. Against RHP he has 44.2 TB's and he slugged .427. SOM can't even get that right.
Further proof of how screwed up SOM is. I give you Jarret Parker. He of a total of 49 AB's. Parker had a GRAND total of 13 AB's vs. LHP.

Are you using Baseball Reference? Their splits are based on starting pitcher only. I suspect Kiermaier didn't start against LHP, but PH against a righty RP. This would count in the split against LHP
So Strat uses only AB's vs SP's in figuring BA and OBP? Interesting.
I think it's rather a case where SOM normalized the stats facing lhp/rhp stats over 3 years to balance the card. I'm guessing that Kiermeyer's card vs rhp is better than his ,197/.254/.382 line vs rhp in 2019.
