A TRAIN TRIP
The Iron Horse . The Iron Horse opening a continent , spreading like the roots of a great tree , ever deeper ever wider . A pristine world awakened to its future by the rattle of the rails , the echo of its whistle and the rising plume of its sooty black smoke . Good bye Yellow Brick Road , we're not in Kansas anymore kids , but in the marshes of Secaucus , where trains sit on a Monday night . They sit for hours . No longer fueled by black coal but by the blue light of electric power . The light is out and the restive product of mechanical evolution lies helpless , no longer carrying the capacity to move inside its own body . The steam that provided life gone , it sits waiting for someone to turn on the off switch . On board hundreds of tired disgruntled travelers stare at their palms , like fleshy trains devoid of the coals of their imaginations ,no papers ,no books ,no conversations. The veins of 5K spread ever deeper into their hearts. Their pristine souls aware of the future but unable to escape the allure of the black smoke of technology . Till one day we are stuck in a virtual Secaucus.
