but Hubbs also led the league in strikeouts and GDP's. but being the only rookie to win the Gold Glove up until that time, makes him worth consideration. especially at 2B

don't know if a rookie has won the award since @ any position?

I nominated him for a couple of reasons, #1 he'd be a great cheap defensive 2B and #2 considering the bright future cut short by tragedy I thought he should be memorialized in the set.

P.S. - Never saw him play as a lifelong Cubs fan because he died the year I was born.
