Greetings,

Poll is open for 20.2 new card add. Stats posted below, courtesy of Andy. Players w/o a comparison to a current card are not represented in the set (except Biggio).

Based on Veterans 75 (10,10,10,10) on DiamondDope. Some things look like better ideas on Baseball Reference than they translate to Strat, so here's the number-crunching...…...

I submitted Jason BAY and he seems to be doing ok. really hoping he gets selected. Nice to get cards for players that are not already in the set. There are some horrible, historically inconsequential players that have multiple cards yet some really useable and impactful players have 1 or zero (Adam DUNN- the best player ever at not putting the ball in play- see sb nation video on subject on youtube).

As a side note would like to BIG up the REY ORDONEZ card. Great defensive card that will be way cheaper than VIZQUEL and will get used ALL of the time.

1896 Ed Delahanty, PHI, Bats-R, E Balance, LF-1(-2)e25,
LH-1.444 OPS
RH-1.454 OPS
1894 Delahanty, 8.31m, PHI, Bats-R, 2L Balance, LF-2(-2)e11...
LH-1.536 OPS
RH-1.328 OPS

The 1896 Delahanty doesn't look better than the 1894 card...1e25 is worse defensively than 2e11 because of the errors...or am I missing something here?

Marc, your opinions carry a lot of weight. Some of the nominations getting a lot of votes are literally the exact same or worse card then what we have, why choose this one to quibble with? I think there are some differences. It’s not e25 vs e11 because 11 is after adjustment and 25 is pre adjustment. Let’s assume the adjustment is to 120, I don’t know. Maybe it’s better. But is a 120 even card better than a 211 left leaning card, when better against righties? I think so. Compared to his other LF1, it is a big upgrade
