Does it affect the online game? I assume it does.

We have to play games to see what real effect is--but I guess in testing Strat says it drops super relivers use by about a third.

Who are the Super relievers?

"Super reliever" is a term used by online guys for a stud reliver, (like 2018 Lugo card) usually a 2 or 3 inning endurance--and you set them for all the important bullpen rolls --- middleman, setup, closer, tied & 9th-- etc maybe a slow hook too.

The AI would get 200 innings out of him easy, because he could potentially pitch 3 or 4 (even 5 sometimes)innings in two of every three games---Strat on-line is trying to curtail that some with new rules for 2019 set.

It's a big change for me. Only being to name two roles is a royal pain. You would like to constrain Hal by filling all the roles with your best pitchers--now you have to trust Hal to make decisions or spend a ton of money on relief.

This will happen no more. Going forward, you will not get 200 innings out of any reliever (unless he maybe gets a few starts, as well as providing relief). This includes anyone from R2 thru R5. R1s will get less than 100 IPs, most things considered.

Strahm: slow hook, middle and set up, tied & 9th, tied & late. That’s a bit of excess value there, in my opinion.

Side note: it appears I somewhat mismanaged Lugo. 99 IPs??

I’m actually a little PO’d that Strahm won’t be getting me my 35 win gold cup. He was tracking a path for 50 wins at one point early on, before he triggered HAL’s Stop Winning governor mechanism.
