Good to know, Tom. But I think you have to actually use a draft pick to choose the stadium you want. Which you can do at any time you are up in the draft.

We are a little behind in the naming of new stadiums and announcing the intention to move. Doc is not here for a ruling, so let's come to a consensus on how to move forward from where we are.

I would suggest a randomizer order for the teams choosing stadiums since we are beyond the SBDL Constitution rule.
Tom, Chris, Rick, Tyson, and Mark pick a number 1 thru 5 and we'll get a randomizer run if agreeable to everyone

SBDL League Constitution:

Section D. Ballparks
1. Unique ballparks
2. Each manager must use the same ballpark for at least three seasons.
3. Relocating
a. A manager may relocate his team to a different ballpark as long as the three-season commitment for the previous ballpark has been met.
b. The manager must announce the new ballpark during the portion of the offseason in which managers announce keepers.
c. The fee for relocating is the forfeiture of the manager’s sixth round pick in the live draft. If the manager does not have a sixth round pick, then the lowest round pick still available is forfeited. In the unlikely event that a manager has no draft picks to forfeit, then the manager loses one keeper slot (only a maximum of six keepers).
4. Any time the league restructures, no manager can relocate to another ballpark until after the third season of the new league creation.
5. New managers, taking over existing teams, have the option to relocate without forfeiture of a draft pick.
a. This “free” ballpark change happens only for the manager’s first season.

Thanks for posting the stadium changing rule, Joe. I had thought that we simply draft a stadium at any time during your pick of the draft, thus "announcing" it at that time. Looks like I remembered that incorrectly. Doing it the way the rule is written, I guess it's first come (announced), first served? So if I had wanted Dodger '05 (I don't), Tom announcing it just removed that option from me. That's why I thought we actually drafted our stadiums, not JUST use a draft pick on it. I'm prepared to announce my stadium, if we are sticking to the rule as written.

I agree and have posted a proposal that I believe will make it fair for everyone wanting to change stadiums.
It's just a matter if you all agree.
