I would think that a 1st FA pick is worth more than a 1st supplemental pick in general, but not necessarily this year. My belief in most keeper leagues, is that the supplemental draft is not to help in the current year but to taking some flyers on players for the following year. If that was/is the intent of the supplemental draft so be it, but if the intent is to help teams for season 2, I do see that happening consistently in most leagues.
I've never seen a player selected in the supplemental drafts helping in Season 2. No player is available in the supplemental draft that wasn't available in the current years spring FA draft. If they couldn't help in season 1, they surely won't be helping in season 2. For the most part, the supplemental drafts consist of players having a good year that will be valuable in the following season. More often than not, they will be rent-a-players for the following year. I'm guessing my 3 picks of the last draft (Gray, Garver, and Hendricks) will not be on my team after the two 2020 seasons are over.
