Rereading the headline ...

The long-awaited new edition of our flagship player set All-Time Greats, is around the corner! In a few week's time, All-Time Greats 9 will launch, featuring all-new salaries for every player from ATG 8, plus hundreds of new cards, plus new measures to cut down on the "super-reliever" phenomenon, and a few other goodies as well!

I found the highlighted part very interesting. All new salaries for EVERY player??? So does that mean there will be a new minimum price for scrubs??? Otherwise it's a totally incorrect statement ... :?: :?: :?:

Yeah, it can’t be for every player; they must mean many.

I would LOVE new minimum pricing for scrubs! One of my greatest enjoyments in this game is after waivers trying to find the right amount to spend on my bench. I enjoy squeezing that last $10,000 to make a subtle change to my injury replacements. I understand the idea of minimum wage, it makes sense, but having that 24th guy cost almost nothing, but be of no use, is a decision we should all get to make. In ATG 8 those SP with no RP nickel pitchers were always sought after!

I believe his price will actually DEcrease, due to the new bullpen dynamic

Agree with Steve. There may also be a steep learning curve to figuring out precisely how the new anti-super-reliever rules will actually play out. The unfortunate thing with this is it introduces a wild-card element into the next Barnstormers Tour, particularly into the first round. I would support adding an extra event to the tour to mitigate the impact of the new rules until folks can figure out how they work.

re: price of Sutter (and most other oft used R3s, R4s and R5s) & learning curve. Agree. I'm already befuddled and it (ATG9) isn't even here yet.

I disagree with adding an event. All this does is let experienced managers learn a new formula. If we all are learning on the fly, then we are all at the same disadvantage, and Event 1 will reward the more nimble managers rather than give an advantage to managers willing to burn multiple credits to experiment at the same time the first event is going.

What is the over under on guys screaming like their hair is fire when the new cards drop. My bet is over 50% will find a reason to be unhappy 25% will say they could have done it better and the other 25% will buy a 5 pack because its still the best game in town.
