Don't be so surprised about my musical knowledge. I was a college DJ in the mid-80s and helped run my school's radio station.
As for the 80s game, it was the first Mystery Card game SOM developed, and it shows. The pricing is ridiculous, there are not enough players <$2 million, and there are plenty of missing players (Seaver, Bonds, Aguilera...). It could use an overhaul, but there are probably aren't enough players to warrant it, unlike the flagship ATG game (which has undergone so many upgrades, I've lost track). My Mets have a ton of players for the 90s, including a guy like Jeff McKnight who couldn't buy a hit! This gives amazing roster flexibility, especially if you crap out with your top players (just look at the 85 and 86 Mets teams I've fielded). Well, just 3 more seasons left, and we get to enter the Steroid Era, when men were men and Jose Canseco stuck a needle in Mark McGwire's ass (if you're buying whatever Canseco is selling).
