I assume that we all need to put the years we get somewhere in our team name so that others don't have to look back at this sign up thread to figure out what years you have.

After (if?) 24 people sign up, I will have a random number generator match the manager with the only years from which he or she may select player cards. After light research, I've broken up the years (some are three years because of a smaller player pool) like so: 1950-52, 53-54, 55-56, 57-58, 59-60, 61-62, 63-64, 65-66, 67-68, 69-70, 71-72, 73-74, 75-76, 77-78, 79-80, 81-83, 84-85, 86-87, 88-89, 90-91, 92-93, 94-95, 96-97, and 98-99. Make sense?

How and when will you do the randomizer and years assignment?

I've requested the randomizer run this morning. When I receive the results, I'll post on here what everyone's assignment is. (I explained earlier in this thread my approach vis-a-vis "how" I will do it.) Then you can build your teams. I'll build mine quickly and create the league (can't do it until I have a team), then let everyone know the league ID and password.

Well, I'll be damned — this league is filling up! Once we have 24 players, I'll have someone run a 24-digit randomizer and you will randomly be assigned one of these year sets:

1950-52, 53-54, 55-56, 57-58, 59-60, 61-62, 63-64, 65-66, 67-68, 69-70, 71-72, 73-74, 75-76, 77-78, 79-80, 81-83, 84-85, 86-87, 88-89, 90-91, 92-93, 94-95, 96-97, and 98-99.

To assign year sets, my thinking is that (1) each year is assigned a number in ascending order (so 1 = 1950-52, 2 = 53-54, 3 = 55-56, etc.), then we run the randomizer. Let's say we get a result like 23, 4, 7, and so forth: manager 1 on the signup sheet gets year set 23 (which is 1996-97), manager 2 gets year 4 (which is 1957-58), manager 3 gets year 7 (which is 1963-64), and so forth.

I know that's pretty in the weeds, but just want to let everyone know my approach in case anyone has objections.
