Still 80m. Although some salaries did go up, my understanding is that, across all players in the set, things remained relatively flat.

I'm not in favor of raising the salary cap (not that anyone asked me -> leagues are generally not democracies).

While I like some 55 - 56 players a lot, I am not so thrilled with having those two years. Not many relievers, many of the ones I do have to pick from have multiple cards, and many of the other players have multiple cards. I didn't scout any of the year combinations to know how my two years compare to anyone else's. I am just complaining.

Having said that, if someone loves 55 - 56 and wants to trade, please let me know. A great Mantle (if you can get him).

OK, By using the cheapest pitchers and cheapest hitters available to me I was able to shoe horn in an 80M roster. If I lose ANY players in the AD I will not be able to field a valid 96-97 team. Do we increase the salary cap now or deal with the problems after the AD? If you don't want 100M, how about 90M? Otherwise I'm not sure what the options are when I don't have players in my years to pick up after the AD that will fit under the 80M salary cap.

I'm sure my team can't be the only one in this situation.

He has a point. He needs to throw money away on a fifth starter and has no cheap outfielders except one nickel guy. 96 - 97 options might be too narrow in a couple places.

I would be in favor of allowing a team to pick up some cheap un-compliant scrubs after the draft if they get legitimately squeezed. There are a lot of very experienced managers in the league (I am not one of them, but, I play enough to recognize them) and a committee of three or four of them should be able to adjudicate case by case, as needed.

I think LMB makes a decent point - I don't know who else is in this situation. I shouldn't be with 55 - 56.

We can also try some variations to the theme. For example, all scrubs ($ 0.75 and below, for example) between 1940 - 1949 become available after waivers fire (not during the draft or for waivers).

I'm okay with raising cap to 100M or creating some kind of arbitration process in case teams cannot get into cap. That said, seems to me that an arbitration process will be much more complex and controversial than simply raising the cap.

84-85! Sweet. A great time to roll dice :D Wish I had Winfield's 84 .340 year in this set.

I vote no on raising cap or any modifications to draft settings set by Cousy.

OK Warrior, then you won't have an issue if we trade years and you try to comply with the rules with the 96-97 players.

I’d rather not raise the cap. Assembling rosters will be tricky, but that is kind of the point. (I recently built a team of exclusively 1965 players in ATG8 at $60m, and it wasn’t easy, but it was doable.)

CAP is what makes this competitive. If I had to stretch my 90-91 squad to 100m, I may as well burn twenty dollar bills in my front yard. (socially distanced of course)

I do have a question:

When assembling Autodraft Card, must we place the card year we own on the autodraft, or can we place any season for a player on the draft card, then fix rosters to the correct year after waivers?
