OK Warrior, then you won't have an issue if we trade years and you try to comply with the rules with the 96-97 players.

Nah. I'm good. 1996 & 1997's top songs were Macarena & Mmbop. Not my style. Also 1997 was the year Titanic was released. Not a good omen for a team to be associated with Titanic.

I look forward to seeing you doing the Macarena in the dugout

I would like to know what the plan is when I don't have players available from my two years after I lose at least a few (or more) during the autodraft. Lets make a decision on that now before the AD.

Like I said I'm already using the 10 cheapest pitchers and 14 cheapest hitters just to create an AD card. If I miss any we will need this plan.

When assembling Autodraft Card, must we place the card year we own on the autodraft, or can we place any season for a player on the draft card, then fix rosters to the correct year after waivers?

I believe you have to use the year(s) you own, only. With my having 55 - 56, it would sure be convenient if I could put the cheapest Mantle on my draft card and then I could compete for other players with the extra money the cheap Mantle saves me. Nope, can't do that. If I want Mantle, he's $ 13.64 in 56.

I agree. I just want that laid out before the draft runs so half of us don't do it one way, sacrificing players we want for Autodraft cap space, while someone else puts cheapest cards on autodraft and gets the players he wants PLUS cap space to make waiver moves...……...

CAP space.....waiver moves? What are those? :(

I joined this league because I enjoy a more limited player pool than the thousands of players in ATG. However the rules for this league were not thought out well and every pair of years looked at to determine if they could all be compliant. I want to follow the rules of the league by only using players from my two years but the salary cap is not allowing me to field a roster from those two seasons.

I can think of two possible solutions:

1. Raise the cap at least to 90M
2. Allow the use of under 1M players from years outside of the years used for this league. Make them available to all teams if they want to use them.

I'm just saying if someone uses cheap years for all their autodraft card, they will have an excess of either good cards or cash, or BOTH.

I'm having a hard time setting up an autodraft card too. That's part of the fun of it.
I just know I cant autodraft the .50 Dennis Martinez and then change to his 6m card once waivers run...…….

If even one of the 24 of us does this, it's gonna throw off the league, so it needs to be posted in BIG LETTERS...……..

Other than LMbombers, who else feels they cannot make their years work?

I think the cheap scrubs idea has the best chance of being equitable and easy. It could still be abused and it would have to be policed. For example, it isn't an open option to everyone. You can't have an eligible option from your allowed pool and opt to take a scrub from 1940 -1949 (using my example to illustrate the point). A defensive replacement is very possible from the < $0.76 pool that you may not have present in your allowed pool. We're confined to our allowed pools unless we have zero options.

One related idea I will pump, again, is doing a manual draft for the first 4 - 6 - 8 - 10 rounds. I know I am not alone with this challenge. I have to decide which CF to take a shot at in the AD. Mantle, Mays, or Snider (Ashburn says he's in there, too). Aaron, Kaline, and Banks are straight out taking shot at. If I miss my star, there's no plan B. After AD, I could find them all taken. At least with the draft, I can react when my 1st choice gets taken. After the first few rounds, I can have some certainty about who I've drafted in fleshing out the rest of my team.
