I think it could be cool and okay if you allow .75 players from other years to join rosters but make those years 1-3 or 1-4 years from what year you were assigned so it stays as much as it can in the theme.

So 96-97 could conceivably fill out his roster from 1993-2000 players.

Also, when will this league be available? Assuming there will be a password for it to join?
I posted earlier that I'll create the league sometime tonight after I fill out my draft card. Sorry — got a day job!

This league is an experiment. Let's see how it goes. If you don't like how things are set up, perhaps you could see if anyone on the boards wants to take over your team before the autodraft.

don't know if that will work though bcousy57 as LMBombers has said he can not fill the autodraft card with 96-97 players at 80M without some relief.

interesting looking at some of the options some of you have. I have a total of 2 hitters over $6.5 million to choose from. But that's not a complaint, it's just an interesting note. and only 6 over $5.0 I am lucky enough to have a couple guys that are definitely mine to fall back on (Driessen, Flynn, Geronimo, Fidrych, Carroll, Eastwick, McEnaney) who will all probably take up spots on my final roster.

I have 75-76 so many of my guys have 3 and 4 cards to choose from, will make the Autodraft very interesting.

I agree it is getting wild and I've posted up for a replacement. I think LMBombers have a valid point even if I don't agree with his preferred remedy. Bottom line is that my impatience and attitude are my problem and if I have a problem, it is contingent upon me to do something about it; not expect someone else to do something about it.

stick with it. We can work it out.

How about AFTER WAIVERS at a time set by bcousy, each manager can pick one .65m or under SP and one .65m or under hitter. That gives some cap relief, but isn't too much changed from the original premise.

I just created a 96-97 team that fits the cap and is AD compliant and is $4 million under the cap. So i think it can work.

Cap is designed for the HAVEs to make tough choices. Even my 90-91 squad will have some tough choices to make, and my pool is very limited.

yes, it involves almost all of the cheaper guys. but many of the cheaper guys at 96-97 are still better than what I'm choosing at 75-76. Don't want to trade as I like the 70s guys more and spent some time this morning on them, but just was checking if it was feasible.

many of the 96-97 guys don't have other years as anything after 98-99 doesn't matter.

Yes, I agree but what happens when I lose several of those guys (or even just a couple) in the AD. There is nothing else to fall back on to use.
