here we are a week-plus later & this still is a decent possibility...

I am a pretty strict purist -- get RID of the DH in both leagues -- but in this rare shortened season scenario I believe this might be fun & cool -- anyone else??

I love this idea ,plus I just want a baseball season even if i is 100-120 games

80 games might be more realistic.

I am a traditionalist as well, but if it's a one-time deal, then it could be interesting.

They could play everyone in their division 9 times (81 games - exactly half of a regular season) 10 times (90 games) or 11 times (99 games) Throw some doubleheaders in there and it would take about 12-14 weeks.

Abbreviated playoffs? Three division winners plus five wildcards or top two in each division plus two wildcards

Or the top three Div winners and the top two WC (play a one-game playoff) Then the four remaining teams play a Best of Five then a Best of 7 World Series.
