Congrats to klx22 on his first title in the PCDKL and only the 2nd one for his franchise in 19 seasons.
Per the ILC discussion, we will now take a break. If/when MLB starts its 2020 season, we will hold a supp draft at the half-way point and then play our 2nd 2019 season after that.
OK, so almost all MLB teams will have completed 30 games within the next few days. Shall we hold our supplemental draft and then proceed with our 2nd season for the 2019 card set?
Other alternatives would include: a. Waiting until the end of the MLB season, so we would have a better guess as to who would be carded; or b. Skipping the supplemental draft entirely and just playing our 2nd season now; or c. Deciding that the 2020 card set will not be worth messing with and playing our 2nd season with the 2019 card set next April
If there is going to be a Supp. draft we might as well wait until the end of the MLB season. This vote, and then drops, will take....5-7 days?.....At that point it's early September and there's only 3+ weeks left in the season.
I vote for b though.
Not that its here nor there but that's what we decided to do in the other pre-card league, HCKL. We should have a much deeper than normal FA draft, which will be fun. HCKL also needs to decide whether to have our FA draft in January like usual or wait until the cards come out. SOM will need to revise the historical 29.2 IP minimum for pitchers. What number will they pick? We are unleashed as is this league. 20 or 30 PA's for an unleashed card next year instead of the usual 60-70?
Whether it's sooner or late I definitely want to have a FA draft in this league next year.
