I agree with you Frankie. Back in 2004 I was coaching a High School basketball team that was lucky enough to win our provincials while compiling a 41-4 record. My point guard and centre were absolute standouts. My MVP was a hard nosed kid that didn't score much but guarded the other teams best player every game regardless of position. If something needed to be said, he would say it. He led by example. One game my point guard came off the floor complaining about something, my MVP looked at him and asked him when he was going to start acting like a man instead of a 8 year old. I pretended I didn't hear...lol.

Andre Dawson is now working as the owner and director of a funeral home in south Florida, where he is dealing with the challenges of the Coronavirus. It's an amazing story:

Amazing story indeed. What a great family.

I also could not help but imagine Rickey Henderson speaking to him in third person...
"Rickey couldn't do funeral home for hustle. Rickey say too creepy."

And Jim Rice just nods respectfully.

I was happy that Dawson won the MVP in 87, even though he probably didn't deserve it. I felt it made up for the MVP's he should have won in 81 and 83 (and maybe 82). Dale Murphy had a park effect advantage similar to what Dawson himself had in 87.
