Hawk's 1988 was a pretty good follow up to 1987:
303/344/503 (849 OPS).
31 Dbls, 8 Trips, 24 Bombs
His issue is always not many walks. In his 1990 year, when he had an .893 OPS, half of his 42 W's were intentional.
Apart from using his '87 in a bomber park, or going with his '81 and risking injury, the best bet is to use the ones where he has the great SB ratings. Then you get his defense and speed, as well. Otherwise, he's one of those players whose Strat cards don't really do justice to how good he was. In his prime, he did everything well, save draw walks.
