I think about a hundred years ago there was a 26 inning game in MLB baseball and then in 1981, Cal Ripken and his Rochester Red Wings played a 33 inning minor-league game against Wade Boggs' Pawtucket Red Sox. I read that Rochester had taken a lead in the 21st inning only to have Wade Boggs tie it up in the bottom of the inning...and his teammates were NOT happy as it was an extremely cold April day!
