"Due to the rules of the autodraft, it's possible an owner may not get either of their top selections. This would put the owner at a significant disadvantage. To reduce this risk, I'm proposing that we hold a two round draft via the message board. This will allow owners to adapt their strategy based on available players rather than being assigned the best undrafted player."
New---just to ensure clarity, the current dispersal draft for the pitching centric teams only. This is only for the folowing players---Barry Larkin, Omar Vizquel, Roberto Alomar, Ryne Sandberg, Ivan Rodrgiuez, Charles Johnson and Kenny Lofton.
We will hold a separate two round draft after this draft and the stadium draft is completed. In that draft, you are free to select pitchers or hitters subject to the salary restricitions. So, for you, you are free to choose any hitter during that draft as long as their salary does not exceed $3.5 million. Similarly, the hitting team can choose a pitcher during the two round draft as long as the pitchers salary does not exceed $2 million.
