Re: Hitting pitching--update: Two player draft update

PostFri May 29, 2020 2:33 pm

As we are nearly done with the stadium draft, we will be running a randomizer for the two player draft. The draft will be held at this board and will be a snake style--the team with the last pick of the first round will have the first pick of the second round. All 12 owners will participate in this draft. Here are the numbers associated with each manager--the randomizer will be run shortly and posted here. Just a few reminders---you are free to select pitchers or hitters but remember you are limited in terms of player salary based on your focus. So, a "hitting" owner is free to select a hitter (any salary) or a pitcher--but the limit for the pitcher is $2 million. Conversely, a "pitching" owner is free to select a pitcher for any salary but a hitter must be less than $3.5 million. This is NOT the order of the draft--this is just the numbers associated with each owner. The randomizer results will be posted soon.

JJB92 just for clarification for my sake and not sure others may have the same question. Is it a hard set 3.5 mil or will 3.57 work?

Hard cap----$3.57 hitter is not eligible for "pitching" centric teams

And just to reiterate. We don't have to take a pitcher or a hitter in this draft, but of course we have to take a player that is eligible depending on which kind of team we have.

For example, as I have a pitching team, I can draft any pitcher, or I could draft a hitter if his salary is <$3.5M.

If I had a hitting team, I could draft any hitter or a pitcher who's salary is <$2M.
