(2019 cards are eligible starting with 20.4)
Our 20.3 parameters are as follows.
1. One nomination per member only
2. When we hit 40 unique nominations we will begin voting (after Andy posts card analysis)
3. We will have one poll of 50 cards; the top 23* will be added
4. Any ties for the final spot will be added in 20.4
5. Next "x" highest vote getters will get another shot in 20.4
6. Note: 300 PA/100 IP/50 IP minimums now in place

1. 1974 Bart Johnson CWS SP 10-4 2.74 1.12whip. Spring training injury in 1975 derailed a promising career. Would be a nice addition for the Exp-era White Sox.
https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/735942/1670/1/702. 1969 Mack Jones - The starting left fielder and darling of the expansion Montreal Expos, Jones hit a three-run home run and two-run triples in an 8–7 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in the Expos' first home victory as a franchise at Jarry Park. Jones' blast was also the first MLB home run hit outside the United States. Jones was so popular in Montreal that the left-field bleachers in Jarry Park were nicknamed "Jonesville." It's a shame that he currently has no card in ATG.

15. 1959 Al Kaline Detroit. A childhood disease forced him to run on the side of his foot. The only year he led the league in Slugging and On Base plus Slugging. A CF 1(-4). A great platoon option vs lefties. OPS vs lefties was 1196, higher than Eric Davis' 1987 year.

Just re-read David Halberstam's The Teammates, about Doerr, Ted, Pesky, & Dom. Dom was a classy guy. Led League in Runs, triples, and steals. Nice OBP for an iconic Red Sox CF, would improve the post-war Red Sox CF situation.
26.1969 Ernie Banks CHC 1B, not up to his normal offensive levels, but would be the only Ernie Banks card at 1B where he spent nearly half of his career. 3 game injury risk and only 4 errors all season. The Ernie I actually saw growing up.

28. Cupid Childs Many great years. 1896 when he hit .355 with a .467 OBP might be his best card, but we need to see what the D is.

Cupid Childs was one of the best hitting major league second basemen during the late nineteenth century, not to mention a better-than-average fielder who possessed great range on the diamond. Only four other second basemen in the history of major league baseball have averaged more total chances per game than Childs. His all-around outstanding play made him an integral part of the great Cleveland Spiders teams of the 1890s.
A natural middle infielder, Childs threw right-handed and batted left-handed. He played shortstop during his early years in the minors but eventually settled in at the keystone position for the remainder of his career. Childs, who seldom struck out, was a great contact hitter with an excellent batting eye. In his prime, he batted anywhere from first to fourth in the batting order. His best years in the majors produced batting averages of .345, .317, .326, .353, .355 and .338. Childs' lifetime major league on-base percentage of .416 is higher than every second baseman in the Hall of Fame except Rogers Hornsby and Eddie Collins.
29. 1930 Adam Comorosky- 112 runs, 47 doubles, 23 triples (league leader), 12 homeruns, 119 RBI's, 14 SB's, slashed .313/.371/.529 played Left and Center for the Pirates. We've all had his lame card on our team at one time or another, let's get the good one.
30. 1936 Hal Trosky, Indians, LHB, 1B .343 42 162 .382 .644 1.026 Career highs in R, H, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, BA, SLG, TB & OPS. Led A.L. in RBI & TB. Had nearly 100 extra base hits without steroids! Had more RBI his first 3 years than HOFers Gehrig, Foxx and Greenberg each had their first 3 years. Career tragically cut short by constant migranes. 1B 4e22.
31. 1904 Rube Waddell - 11.3 WAR; his best year I believe (despite winning the tripe crown the following year), struck out 110 more batters then the next and ended with 348k which stood for a very long time. On a personal note, he was the one that drew me into baseball stories and folklore when I was a kid.
32. 1983 Bob Horner, Braves. One of his best seasons in OB and power... .303 .383 .528 better on base vs righties .388, but more power vs lefties, .590. As usual injuries will be a problem... he will have a 15 gm injury chance. But this will be a big improvement on his only card.
33. 1986 Jesse Barfield, Blue Jays, R, 1R RF 1(-5) e3, CF 2(-5) e3 .289 40 108 .368 .559 .927 Career highs in PA, R, BA, DO, HR, RBI, SLG, OPS & 2nd best career high in OBP. Won a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger. Big arm and great power make Barfield very usable in CF as well.
