Old-time Astro, gives a good platoon vs LHP and plays enough IF positions well to make him a valuable infield sub as well. Give old Art a card and tell Billy Beane he's a jerk.

Deifinitely a DH.

In doing the Stats, I'm going by the way Strat counts Plate Appearances, AB + BB. If Bill wants to make a ruling on how to determine Plate Appearances, (adding HBP) that's fine, and I'll post Shumpert, though I don't prefer to make a superstar out of a guy who was a career scrub without there being an Unleashed Set for ATG.

Oh you are right. Shumpert AB + BB does not equal 300 PA. It equals 293. But he only has 2 HBP, so you also have to add in SF + SH to get to 304 PA per BB Reference. That's a stretch for inclusion, but I will let Bill chime in.

Technically he is eligible. Baseball reference is the final arbiter here. 1999 32 COL NL 92 304 (PA). Though I do agree with Andy, that it's more of an "unleashed" type of card where ATG is concerned.

Thanks,
Bill
