Vote for an ATG 9 Full Team Add!

PostMon Jul 06, 2020 3:07 pm

You can vote here for the addition of one full team to ATG9: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=648173

The choices are the 2005 world champion Chicago White Sox and the 1991 world champ Minnesota Twins.

Both are interesting teams with useful stars and scrubs, many of whom have no ATG card

Excellent question. As I understand it, in that list BC15NY is spelling out for us which expansion era teams are currently the least well-represented. According to Bill:

The White Sox, Twins, Indians, and Giants have no expansion-era core team in the set, and subsequently the lowest EXP card counts, other than the four most recent franchises.

Of these, the White Sox & Twins have the fewest post-expansion players, with 54 and 58 respectively. By contrast, Cleveland and the Giants have 69 & 70, respectively. So, the list was to explain why he was offering a choice between a Twins champ team and a WS champ team. Each is a long-established franchise currently under-represented in the expansion era.
