We lost one of our own - Robert Vozza RIP

Robert has been a tremendous friend to so many of us for many, many years. Robert ran the GBBR ongoing league for about 15 years. I've met Robert where he lives in Phoenix and kept in touch with him for years. Wonderful man.

Robert stopped communicating in our current GBBR league, so we had been concerned. JFrost tracked down the Arizona Republic Obituary (link below). Robert passed on June 20th.

Rest in Peace our good friend. You will be missed.

Current GBBR League - see what Robert had typed in under "Description" when he built the league. We thought he was being humorous as he often was. However, his Comments were prophetic.

I am sorry for your loss. I do recognize his name and I am sure I played in a league with him.

Very sad to hear. He was always very welcoming to to me when I ventured over from my usual ATG leagues.

Thank you Kevin. Very thoughtful of you to post that. I'm sorry about you losing your good friend. God Bless Robert. I wonder if there's Strat leagues in heaven? You would think, wouldn't you. In fact I bet they have top-notch accommodations.

Sad news. He ran a great fun league

I never played in one of Robert's leagues but I read many a post of his rounding up the GBBR gang. He was passionate about keeping that group up and running. You league members always came through for him. He will be missed.

I'm saddened by this news. One of great representatives of our community. He will be missed.

Very sad indeed. I got to know Rob playing in his LOTO leagues starting back in 2003. We stayed in touch off and on over the years. He was a good guy.

I skipped the current GBBR league as I had too many teams going when it formed--stunned and saddened to hear the news--He was in every GBBR league I played in (maybe a half dozen in the last 2 years) One of our best.
