The Central (mixed) is a runaway--Burley Norseman's team is closing in on a wire to wire victory---he holds a 12 game lead and has a run differential of 205--the club is averaging 6.8 runs per game. In the pitching division, the BC Manager holds a 6 game lead. Amazingly, Roger Clemens pitching in the Astrodome has a record of 7-21 despite an ERA of 3,84.
The wild card leader is now Buddabear's (hitter) with a 2 game lead. The league has completed 138 games.

Interesting statistics: Tony Gwynn is hitting .388---of the top 9 hitters, nine come from the hitting teams--only Garrett Anderson (.323), Carolos Baerga (.321) and Jon Nunnally (.308) are from pitcher teams.

It certainly was challenging trying to put together a pitching staff of scrubs, but I really didn't get any breaks either.

I used a total of 17 pitchers this season:
Chris Hammond and John Dopson were on their best cards.
Pete Schourek and Joe Grahe were on mid-range cards.
Jeff Reardon, Jason Grimsley and John Wasdin were on their second-worst cards.
Chuck McElroy, Mike Jackson, Jeff Nelson, Brian Bohanon, Greg Cadaret, Dennis Rasmussen, Cal Eldred, Bruce Ruffin, Albie Lopez and John Farrell were all on their worst cards.

No wonder I was dead last in team pitching!
