2020 Supplemental Draft Info
First and foremost, as in years past, the Supplemental draft does not require you to participate
I know it will be a little more paperwork for me, but it is what it is. Here's how this years Supplemental draft will go...
1. You may drop up to 3 players if you wish. Dropping players prior to the draft will not be a requirement this year to participate
2.These rules will remain in tact
Supplemental Free Agent drafts:
1) A Supplemental FA draft of up to 3 rounds (36 picks maximum) will be held
2) All owners must announce any roster drops (up to 3) prior to a time set forth by the commissioner
3) Supplemental Free Agent drafts are non-sepentine; Supplemental Free Agent draft order is determined by the previous season's regular season record, with the playoff teams in the west, their draft order determined by order of finish in the playoffs.
4) There will not be assigned times unless draft starts to slow down, at that point we'll go with assigned time slots for any remaining rounds.
5) The Supplemental Free Agent draft is only 3 rounds. There will never be more than 36 picks made in the Supplemental draft.
6) Eligibility for players to be drafted follows the same rules as the Spring Free Agent draft for that year, that is any player with MLB experience prior to the start of the current MLB season is eligible to be drafted in the supplemental draft
7) Assigned time slots won't begin until Monday 8/10
As you see, rosters will be allowed to be +3 (if you wish to, just more drops to mull over next year)
If making drops, I will have a separate thread for those. IF you will not be participating at all, please post on the drop thread as well.
The draft will begin Friday August 7th and will be completed by Wednesday August 10th. This puts us around each teams 15th game when the draft gets started.
