Team isn’t horrible but Agree with comments above regarding pitching spending. I am an average at best manager in Strat so take my advice with skepticism if you but I will not have a D with SS rating worst than 2. SS is most important D in field and aim for 1 rating whenever possible. Plus no lower than 2 at 2B even if that means giving up bit of offense.

Who leads off for you? Best OBP player is Cahna so he should lead most of the time. I really try to find at least one guy with over .400 OBP. On base is mucho, mucho important in Strat esp for lead off hitter. I also try my best in not having #2 guy with lots of DP chances. Just make sure Realmuto isn’t your #2 hole hitter, seems she has hit into many DPs.

Good luck to you.

I think the first question you have to ask yourself is what is the theory of your team? How you are going to get better value of your players than your competition? That starts with exploiting your ballpark. Wrigley is a little trickly--it favors lefties for bp singles and righties for bp homers--but in general you are looking for right-handed power hitters. The theory would be that by getting a bunch of right-handed power guys you should have an advantage over teams coming to your ballpark. So youve pretty much given up that advantage with this team.

There are also needs to be a balance between your starting pitching, relief, and defense given your home park.Generally speaking, if you spend a lot on starting pitching youre not likely to need as expensive a relief as you put together. It's also tricky when you like 3 good starters (6 or 7 million plus) and a couple of really cheap ones. If I have all expensive starters then I might be able to go fairly cheap on relief. Or if I had all cheap ones then I would have a deep relief corp. But when there is a mixture...it's harder I think.

And then you do have a poor defense. 70.7% conversion on your X chances is low and puts stress on your pitching. A good defense would be 80%.

In order to win you have to figure out to create value. Think is is an optimization game. In Wrigley that could be with right-handed power guys. Maybe you go with a really good defense and that plays up your pitching. Maybe your pitchers are a good fit for Wrigley and that creates value. Maybe you figure how to go really cheap on relief and still get results. Maybe you platoon and that helps. Maybe you find players that Strat under-priced. There are all kinds of theories but in order to win you have to approach the game with a theory on how you can maximize your players better than the other owners.

I think it's too expensive at this point. You want to make changes prior to 40 games when there is only a 5% penalty. It then jumps to 10%. After 80 it jumps to 20%. Thats the default unless your league has custom rules on that.

You could improve your team's karma by getting a different closer. Not only expensive, underused, and underperforming but also kicked out of MLB. I just like to have pretend players on my pretend teams who i can comfortably pretend to root for. YMMV.
