Bonds is sick...

To me though, if this can happen and noone cares, then there isn't any reason not to have super relievers. Both are unrealistic, so no difference in my book.

If Barry only played at Coors Field :D

Or had Mays, McCovey and Ott around him in the lineup.

Good job, Tim! That is an accomplishment I never achieved. Well done! I think it is pretty cool, and a reflection of good player choice(s) to exploit the advantages of a given home park.

I enjoyed Sutter and super-relievers as much as anyone, but the change there was more pressing than anything to do with what a power hitter can do in a power park.

Back of the (bio-degradable, of course) napkin math:

Max HRs in MLB (61-75) Max in Strat 114
Max RBIs in MLB (190 or so I think) max in Strat 282

That's not too bad, as compared to the relief disparity.

Mike Marshall I think has the innings record for a reliever at 208. Some us were able to over double that number, and creep over 450. In the modern game, relievers don't even hit the 100 inning mark, so folks were generating reliever numbers of maybe 5x the current maximum. Whereas in baseball on any given year someone hits 50-55 home runs, so Bonds-in-Strat hitting 110 is about only about 2x that.

I could be looking at this wrong. Others are welcome to weigh in.

I sniff at that. How about Jeff Bagwell with 123 homers and 270 RBIs?

Has anyone played a full 2001 season with that 2001 Bonds card? If he does that against HOF pitchers, what the hell would he do with the 2001 NL starters?

150 HRs, 300 RBI and an OPS of at least 1.800?

Maybe a beach ball and wiffle bats would help.
