Yeah, it's pretty blah. I just look at it as being an economic necessity that they play. The ripple effect on their not playing on their cable tv contracts--which pretty much is the economic foundation of the league--would likely be disasterous.

We also might have some great Strat cards next year...assuming they can get through this season

I tried watching opening day but I didn't last long. The broadcast started out with a political propaganda piece by MLB, then back to a live camera shot of the Cardinals opening day starter wearing over his uniform a political t-shirt supporting an organization which, if they achieve their political aims, would have that pitcher making about $16,000 a year.

So, having tuned in to enjoy baseball -- not to have politics shoved down my throat -- I turned it off.

It's bad enough, as an NL fan, to have them use the pandemic as a cowardly excuse to shove the DH down our throats because, of course, it will be made permanent.

My attitude at this point is -- the fools can have it!
