HAL?

PostFri Aug 28, 2020 12:20 am

I won the game, but I'm trying to understand HAL's logic in the bottom of the 9th here;

Why walk the Lefty Taylor to get to a Righty Rollins when Whitey Ford is clearly better against the Lefty?

That is a bizarre move! Thankfully you won it, but the walk makes no sense to me...just HAL behaving badly again, I guess!

What he said.

In real life that would be an intentional walk every time.

I agree about the walk as far as setting up the force, but if I'm managing here, with no pen to speak of I think I'm taking the chance on Taylor.

I have found that assuming the computer manager we all hire is drunk, very much helps to cope.

Think League of Their Own, and with Tom Hanks playing HAL, well heck it all goes down much easier after that.
