Roster loses money before 10pm on opening day

PostSun Aug 30, 2020 9:15 pm

Anyone seen this before?

https://365.strat-o-matic.com/league/rosters/450525

https://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/1597815

Opening day is today -- 10pm Eastern is about 45 minutes off.

Somehow, I lost almost $ 6.5 Mil.

It is going to screw up the final roster moves I was going to make, for sure.

I'll contact 365support. But, not before the season starts.

Thoughts?

Did support respond ? I see you still have less team value then $100 mill.

Not yet, unfortunately.

If they respond, today, I'm open to just fixing it and playing on. No restart or refund.

I had that happen once before waivers and they fixed it before waivers ran.

I wouldn't mind if they issued me a refund of $6,500,000.

I can fix it with six roster moves if I have access to the 100 mil. But, it is getting late enough that I don't think they saw my email.

Unfortunately, I can't tell when it happened. I noticed it late Sunday afternoon, but, I wasn't really watching my roster value before that. I looked at my transactions between waivers and Sunday afternoon and there's no obvious combination that seems to match the missing money. I actually didn't make very many transactions and definitely not large $ transactions.

Oh, well. They'll notice my email eventually, I hope. The team will be pooched fairly quickly as it stands now.

Well, I sent another email at 8:30pm Eastern time just to get it at the top of 365support's inbox.

I got a reply back at 9:39pm Eastern that they saw my request and had restored my money plus 2 mil more to cover transaction fees. I knew what changes I was intending to do and I zipped them off getting my roster in at 100 mil on the nose and got the lineups and preferences all set before 10pm.

There is some left over cash in the bank. They may take it (or not). But, I won't use it. I rarely make roster changes mid-season as it is and I don't want to take unfair advantage of their customer service / generosity.

All's well that ends well. The team played one series minus the money and went 1 - 2 (really should have been 0 - 3) on the back of Sweeney's 2 hit shutout. I did experience two injuries to role players which may not have happened otherwise. But, I'll take it with no complaints. I don't think losing those two games (which might have happened anyway) will decide things at the end of the season. At least, I hope they don't.

A good lesson for staying after a hopeless situation. I don't know if that last email made the difference.
