Last druid - dang, was hoping to have Morgan in draft. Debated between him and Carew.

I do have a SOM strategy question since there seems to be a fair number of vets in this group - in a series last night, HAL let a relievers pitch 2 innings with a F0 fatigue level. Both times the relievers got blasted - one gave up 11 runs and that reliever pitched close to 3 innings with F0. Is this due to the manager setting or HAL being HAL? Both times benefited me and I swept the series but I have seen this with HAL before. Curious as to why this happens and anyway it can be avoided. I do put in quick hook for weak relievers and no more than 1-2 innings for others. Thanks

Here was your mistake in a draft like this. There was zero chance that anyone was going to pick Carew. However I would have bet dollars to donuts that Morgan was going to be his pick.

Thanks for finishing up, everyone. I'll create the Season 1 league, and post keeper lists here in the next couple of hours.

David - Will you send out an invite code? I guess this is new. I have not played for about 9 months.

Guess will live and learn with live drafts. This is the first live draft I have done since coming back to play in the spring. I dont usually do live drafts. I had Carew in 2 other leagues and he did really well in neutral parks so thought would take a chance again. Morgans OBP and walks were enticing. Lets see how seasons play out. Good luck to everyone in the draft.

There is a player who I like but most of the more experienced better players than me don't use and feel is overpriced. That won't stop me from using him so good luck with Carew but I know I don't need to draft him. Also there are a lot more options for 1st base than 2nd.

I've created Era vs Era Season 1.
The password/invite code is: JKGXH
Cap is $120 Million
DH: Yes
5% Drop Penalty
Waivers: Standard
Play starts 3 days after Auto Draft

--When putting together your draft list, rank your 4 keepers at the bottom.
--Select the specific card you drafted for your keepers. Resist the temptation to draft a lower-priced card, then swap during Waivers. I know this is completely unenforceable, but it is a league rule, so let's follow the honor system.
--If you accidentally select another manager's keeper, you must trade them before Waivers.
Feel free to ask any questions.
