Please no!

Just saw the replay of Bartolo Colon hitting a homerun from 2015 (or 2016?) for the Mets. Still makes me smile.

Also makes pitchers a little more thoughtful about plunking opposing batters.

Of course it will be made permanent in the NL starting next season. Foisting the DH on NL fans under the cover of the pandemic is probably the most cowardly and dastardly act I've ever seen out of the Office of Baseball Commissioner. I'm disgusted with it.

Unless they are going to have pitchers hit in the minor leagues and college...it seems kind of ridiculous that they are going to ask pitchers to face the best pitching in the world after not having worked it on for perhaps 5-7 years. Most pitchers are very good athletes and should be able to hit but they are groomed for failure now, especially with how good pitching is now. I dont need to see athletic incompetence.

So, either have the DH for both leagues...or start mandating pitchers hitting in the minor leagues and college and get rid of the DH in the American League in 4-5 years.
