In a recent league I accidently used the Eddie Collins 1911 card (I think I meant to go with 1919 but clicked wrong obviously did not notice) and thus far, its been totally worth it. Anyone else out there use 2 (or greater) injury guys? Any gems out there worth a shot?
It can be a crap-shot. I also try to avoid injury 2s outside of catcher and especially hitters who will bat 2nd through 5th in the order. As an aside, I try very hard not to make roster changes mid-season if I think the lineup really should work well.
Ted Williams '57 killed it for me at $ 9.5M in a $ 85M theme league. .342 / .448 / .730 / 1.178 in 146 games played. 141 runs scored and 156 RBIs. 2nd in OPS.
On the other hand, I had Arky Vaughan do terrible one league with three 15g injuries and three other shorter injuries. And he isn't even a 2 injury.
