The key to mystery leagues is trying to determine which season a player has. In a few cases, when the player's seasons are all good, it really doesn't matter. However, most players have a season or two or three that you'd rather not keep.
Sometimes, you can determine exactly which season a player has--most commonly by an "injury reveal." Other times you can narrow it down or perhaps eliminate some seasons.
Check out the link above, and there is another link in the second post in that thread that you will want to read. Then read them again! You can't do well in mystery leagues if you don't educate yourself on figuring out which season a player is on.
