Amen to what Frankie says! This is ridiculous, whoever limited relievers to two roles is a moron, plain and simple.

Is it possible to use just a dash of common sense?

Fine, if you don't want relievers doing unrealistic stuff ( like every other player) expand the rosters and make us carry at least 12 pitchers with a minimum roster requirements of AT LEAST 28 players.

I wonder how possible it is to make these things settings one can adjust if you create a league. For example, if I wanted to require larger rosters, or allow smaller staffs (like 8 which if I recall was the rule back in ATGI) or not have the 5 starter requirement, or the 3 pure reliever requirement or whether or not to allow 2, 3, 4, etc reliever roles. I would not think it would be that complicated to allow those who wish to create a league the ability to adjust these settings. Thus, one could create the league they wanted. It would certainly allow more experimentation, more variety etc.

Part of the problem is that, in the the example of Mr Tekulve's card, it suggests a 65% vs 35% split for IP. That would mean 66 IP vs RHP and 36 IP vs LHP.

The 36 innings would never happen in ATG, but I can see more than 66 vs RHP.
