Probably something to Bruce's inference about selective memory.
I am missing some teams with the username transition, but in a quick scan I have only found six 100 win teams and all lost in the semis.
It doesn't particularly bother me, except this one did feel inexplicable:
https://365.strat-o-matic.com/league/442293107 wins at 80M...and got swept in the semis by a team with a 72M payroll and 81-81 record. And it wasn't even close--outscored 32-16. That one stung, I will admit. Not meant to disparage the manager on the other side of this. The opposing manager is a good one and was modest--apologetic even--but hey that's the game and no need for saying sorry like in tennis for a net court point.
But I am never one to presuppose anything based on the regular season. It is an unbalanced schedule and that makes a big difference so I would never discount a team with a worse record because that's why we play the playoffs.
So it is tough chaberlal, but maybe aim to be that wildcard team that takes it all when everyone counts you out.
