This trade has no semblance of parity.
It is obviously a trade for next year. For the current season, Keuchel for Musgrove is not a difference maker for either manager. Eddie didn’t add Nola to his current team and Gibson is priced at 89 cents.
Next year:
Keuchel - $6 -7M (1.09/1.99)
Nola – C, 1st, 3rd; .825 OPS (.930 vs. RHP)
Musgrove – $3M at most (S5 - 1.24/3.86)
Gibson – 50 cents
I would highly suggest that Eddie up his side of the bargain with a useful player(s) for the future, or pick(s).
I’ve never vetoed a trade and wouldn’t like to begin now.
