Off the top of my head I believe it happened to Pollock last year. After several years of being a 1 in CF, he dropped to a 3 in the most recent set. And like Iglesias, he deserved to be downgraded if you believe in defensive metrics
Not the greatest example, but here goes.
Pollock's first card was in 2012. He was a 3 in CF.(LF/RF)
In 2013, he was a 2 in the OF.
2014, 2 in CF/LF.
2015, he became a 1. (Best season)
2016, hurt. No card.
2017, 1 in CF, hurt & plays in 112 games.
2018, 1 in CF, hurt & plays in 113 games.
2019, 3 in CF/LF, hurt & plays in 86 games.
2020, 3 in LF/CF.
Iglesias:First card in 2012. 2 @ SS. No injury.
2013, 1 @ SS, No injury.
2014, no card.
2015, 1 @ SS, hurt & plays in 120 games.
2016, 1 @ SS, hurt and plays in 137 games.
2017, 1 @ SS, hurt & plays in 130 games.
2018, 1 @ SS, hurt & plays in 125 games.
2019, 1 @ SS, plays in 146 games.
2020, 1 in the DAILY GAME and injury on 2/12 as well, plays in 39 games.
If injuries played a factor in the range, Strat would have given him a 2 or 3 in 2015-2018.
