I read the poll responses as saying the Semis and Finals should be consistent about "rewarding" point ranking via a player draft or not doing for either.

It is because it is a BIG advantage to having a higher seed getting to draft players, it dis-levels the playing field a bit, and most of the folks that participate are competitive and would rather have a auto-draft to keep things relatively level. Obviously there is a strategy to the draft, but on the surface it is level.
