I have Ray Knight in one of my latest teams and found out that he's one of the best clutch hitters in the game...

Against lefties... 1-8 and 1-12 $-fly(cf)b?, 1-9 $-fly(lf)b?, 2-9 $-gb(ss)a+?, 2-11 $-fly(rf)b?

Against righties... 2-3 $-fly(cf)b?, 2-10 $-fly(lf)b?, 2-11 $-fly(rf)b?, 3-5 $-fly(cf)b?, 3-9 $-popout(3b)

That's 5 chances on each side for a total of 10... 1-8, 1-9, 2-9, 3-5 and 3-9 are pretty good rolls...

I knew Frank Chance has 6 on each side on his 1905 card, 5 on each side on his 1906 card and 4 on his 1903 card...

I have an experiment going on a 100m league where I grabbed several clutch hitters in peto. I guess the best thinking is those clutch hits are extra important in a park like that where runs are scarce. Also not impacted by park either. Very early but not confident. All this was inspired at a 0-42 season on clutch hitting. That was pretty eye opening for me

Primarily around Connor, Milligan,Sewell and some others that play d. Tried to get Sam Thompson in but ran out of cash. I think Connor is the best clutch hitter.

Full disclosure Ozzie is technically tied with a couple hundred or so but among those with that 40 count his salary is highest so he sorted to the top of my query.

Clutch is the $. In a clutch situation ( 2 out runner in scoring position) and a role comes under the $ then the result is reversed. An out becomes single and single becomes out. The ? Deals with runner advancing but that is not used in online version (based on arm/speed).
