2020 Tour Finals: Draft Order & Chat

I don't know why it says I picked at 11:09.I know I picked at 10:06 am EST.

The time stamp seems to 1 hour ahead of the actual time.

It's really not that big of a deal. But it is just annoying when some of us check in every hour and some of us check in maybe twice a day.

I know people are busy and live in different time zones, but it also seems like most of us may be more considerate than others.

The first round of the draft took 44 hrs 16mins from the time J-Pav opened the thread.
The second round took 22 hrs 40 mins.
The third round took 9 hrs 26 mins.

It's getting better.

Naw man, not even close! I made you guys wait, 6 minutes, 60 minutes, and 5 minutes.

My first pick could not be made until the 7th game of my championship series... SO TO SAY I MADE ANYONE WAIT MORE THAN A COUPLE OF MINUTES IS ABSURD. I LITERALLY COULD NOT PICK UNTIL AFTER THAT GAME 7 with YOU, could be decided.... Also no one picked after me that night!

I don't know where you got these average times but they are way way off!

My first pick could not be made until I beat you in game 7 of the championship.

So for that pick first pick I made you guys wait for six minutes.

My second pick was 60 minutes after Jeep. And my third pick was 5 minutes after Jeep.

So I don't think so.

Your first pick was made 3 hours and 6 minutes after Jeep's first pick.

I believe you said: "Guys, sorry I had no idea the draft had begun, doh!"

Your second pick was made 2 hours and 3 minutes after Jeep's second pick.

Your third pick was made 5 mins after Jeep's third pick.

That's an average of 1 hr and 45 mins per pick.

I acknowledge that you had to wait until the results of the previous games were known before you could make your pick.

I'm not accusing you of holding up the process or anything else. I'm just reporting the facts of how much elapsed time there was between picks for each player.

End of story.

Having been thru this once before, the system of drafting on the board is really flawed. There should be a central person who can take contingent picks. In other words, my pick is next and I want one of 2 guys and I know the order. I should be able to send my picks someone not involved or list it somewhere so my pick can be made and I don't have to keep checking back to see if it is my turn. If anyone does fantasy baseball with the NFBC that system does exist. Sad thing is most don't use it so maybe it is not the answer.

Having said all that, I think we have to just power thru it at this point and be prepared for it to be possibly slower on the weekend.

Yeah, we have to power through.... I know if I was a higher seed, I would be upset if the draft was cancelled. ..

It's part of the rules for this year so we have to do it.

But I would probably be looking to do it a little differently in the future.

At the bare minimum you would think people would be able to check in when they wake up, and before they go to sleep, and perhaps once or twice in between.
