Interesting new rule added to our home pages:

Important note: Beginning with these 2020 sets, we will finally be eliminating the 4-day starter asterisk for modern single-season sets going forward. This rule was initally created to make today's pitchers compatible with older eras of baseball, and it does not make sense for self-contained modern seasons. All starters will need at least 4 days of rest between starts. The playoff schedule will be updated to include more rest days as a result of this change.

Pork"CHOPS" Murphy issued a press release tonight that veteran RH RP Mark Melancon has agreed to a 1 year deal to pitch for the Cape Bear Cubbies. In 2020, he was 2-1 with 11 saves and a 2.78 ERA over 23 games with the Atlanta Braves MLB. The former all-star is competing for the roll of set up man in the Cubbies bullpen for 2020.
