Age 49. Got started with the '85 season card set and played the crap out of it. Rediscovered the PC game in the mid or late 90s, I believe, and the online version around 2005. SOM Online is the only way I have competed against human competition.

44 years old, started playing about 15 years ago when the Sporting News offered strat and every other sport. Had an 8 year hiatus after my daughter was born and have been back since the 2017 set.

53- started playing C&D in a face to face league in 93 or 94 after playing in a face to face C&D Football league. (Still think the Football board game is superior to baseball)

Did that for a few years until a move out of New York State to Rhode Island. Picked the game back up there when the online game launched on The Sporting News website, been playing online ever since.

65 years old, first played in the summer of 1966 with six teams from the 65 season. Amazing how much I love those old, weathered cards and the memories of playing them with my friends. We had sense enough to count ways to get on base on the cards, but not sense enough to factor in the probabilities of dice rolls between 2-12. I remember how the Reds fans would complain about a power hitter like Frank Robinson (HR on 1-7 and 1-8) having "less" power than some scrubs who had homeruns on 1-2, 1-3, 2-11, 2-12, etc.) Led to some very strange trades!

39 - one of my buddies introduced me to the game 10 or 11 years ago. No idea what the game was before that. Sporting News had a ‘Free Play’ 1986 season so I tried it out and then jumped into a couple keeper leagues that I’ve been in ever since.

49.
First set was cards purchased in 1984. Difficult to find a face to face crew nowadays even in the big city of Toronto.
Started playing online 12 years ago.
